Creating illustrations is like telling a story. There’s a beginning, a middle part and an ending.
After the first acquaintance and a good cup of coffee, the sketch phase follows. Here I find my challenge and I can celebrate my passion. Figuring out what the subject is, what message is in the assignment and what it takes to get a good illustration. I want to know who the target group is; a patient, an interested layman, a fellow scientist or surgeon. Then follows the middle, working out the sketch. The foundation stands and I can apply my professional knowledge and skill to achieve an optimal image. I am good at it and I am committed to achieving results quickly. At the end I’ll dot the i’s. Feedback is processed and the figure is delivered according to specifications.
